Easter Hill Country Tour
Kick off your 2016 cycling season riding in the Hill Country. The Easter Hill Country Tour is a premier Texas organized ride. Got Hills… Yes they DO!
SCCC has reserved a block of 10 rooms at the Inn of the Hills, 1001 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX for club members who will attend.
What do you need to do?
- Sign up for the Easter Hill Country Tour 2016 at the website: http://www.ehct.com/
- Get a room. Contact Mona at events@spacecitycycling.com to get one of the 10 rooms reserved for club members. Each room has two double beds and gets an Easter Hill Tour Rate of $111.00 per night. There are 5 rooms for check-in on Wednesday evening, March 23rd and check-out Sunday morning, March 27th. And, there are 5 rooms for check-in Thursday evening, March 24th and check-out Sunday morning March 27th. Members are welcome to make a reservation for themselves outside of the SCCC Reservations.
We are reserving the 5 rooms for Wednesday check-in for those who would like to do a club group ride on Thursday from Lost Maples Park at Vanderpool through Utopia and Leakey back into Lost Maples Park. This is about a 60-mile ride that includes the challenging hills with two slightly steep climbs just east of Leakey. Or, maybe you would like to spend Thursday checking out the Hill Country. This is a great three days of riding and it does include some very challenging hills….I measured a 19% grade on the first day of the organized ride….Paul and Mona do a great job
of organizing the ride for SCC…
